I have a recon version on static display here by my house... I'll get some landing gear photos taken and posted up this weekend.

Just make sure whoever wants to tackle this puts a priority on the version with 4 20mm guns, since the other weapons that it used were pretty useless, though it would be pretty easy to mod it to sidewinders. It's armament (or lack there-off) was teh main weakness of the interceptor versions.

I'd go as far as model it and map it but then stop from there. Someone else will need to continue the 90% left of the work. I'll help that person including showing them how to do it. So if you want to become a modder and create your own plane, this is a good opportunity.  ;D

~S~ Bravo,

Look into Gmax http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax or Blender http://www.blender.org/download

Here is a little four minute clip I produced a few years ago when I dared to investigate the process in MS-CFS3.

To make an aircraft from scratches it's actually quite complicated. But I would recommend you ha e max + maraz exporter, a java editor and fm tool. Also you can read the tutorial prehand.

I partially finished the fuselage. No pics to show yet but soon.

@barrett_q can I have pics of these area please: intake, and exault nozzles.

Thanks,

S3

I'll try to stop by later today... But you won't get much more detail than what's in my pics above... They've been sealed up to keep birds out.... Even the wheel wells have been sheeted over if you noticed the gear pic.
