World War I Verdun Map
« on: October 13, 2012, 08:25:23 AM »

A number of important WWI battles were fought in the area around Verdun. This includes the Meuse-Argonne Offensive which was the last battle of the war. The American First Pursuit Group operated over this area, initially based at Touquin and later at Rembercourt. However, we do not currently have a map in IL-2 of this important area in WWI history. Below is the minimum area I think a 'Verdun Map' should encompass.

I've include my estimate of the locations of Touquin and Rembercourt on the map above. This area measures approximately 145 km (90 sm) by 274 km (170 sm).

Now that we have the Nieuport 28 and Albatros D.III, I think it would be great to have a Verdun Map.

Cheers,

Riptide

This would make a great map for WW-1.
IT would be nice to have smaller maps for WW-1.
