i shall just fly it around an essex. again and again and again. AIMs AGMs AAMs and a Vulcan i do not even need at first.
Just get inside that thing and put her through her paces is enough of a job.

Exactly!

When I flew this same bird in F/A-18 Korea by Microsim, on Mac, then later PC, I used to love flying between the Hawaiian Islands. Something just kinda relaxing about it. I also enjoyed all the missions too, but flying routine patrols at dusk was just cool :)

Looking forward to this beauty!

Thanks yous

The only drawback is that this bird will feel so alone in IL2...
No opposition for this extraordinary capable fighter !
Excepted maybe a MiG21-93 Bison or a modernized F4 Phantom II, to re-use existing airframe mods of the game.

Same was said when MiG-21 was announced.

Actually 3rd-gen MiG-21 is enough of an opponent for many scenarios - note that North Korea uses it to this day. Plus you've got Phantom, Hind...

If  you are planing take great screenshot with new mods, don't plan anything before you have full installed working mod. Otherwise installation is going to fail badly. *true story

There is someone investing a lotttta love into that bird.

i wonder...
How is it with that Gun.
are the barrels rotating as soon as you switch the M61 on? (technical stuff)
the sound for the rotating barrles... how to?

the green reflection from the HUD is kickass.

what is that "blob" below the right side AIM-7 tailfin?
slats + landing flaps = down?

(keep on dreaming on... i know! :D )

For Hornets lovers,

I have zero knowledge of the plane. So if you have interesting facts or features about the plane that you want me to model, please provide me with information and explanation how it work, I can try to code it. So far I've been able to code quite a few features, but the more information provided, the more "real" the plane will get.

Cheers,

S3
