Anyone knows a solution for exporting in OBJ extension? Because all the textures get distorted when importing the meshes to 3ds Max.

Flip image and layer.

Thanks but i did that already in the first place, the majority of the exports from il-2 need that, this is something regarding uv map badly exported which i have no clue how to fix it :/

Try obj converter with mesh_dump64 (Aviaskins).

In using 3ds max, export ~ import format is .3ds is familiar than .obj .

The screenshot looks like material applying trouble , not related to importing format.

IL-2 1946's aircraft 3d model uses 4 or 5 (sometimes more) materials on one .msh 's LOD0 model.

In example, Yak36 's CF_D0.msh LOD0 material list is here.

Ki-67 's Tail1_D0.msh LOD0 material list is here.

Importing converted .3ds keeps those material names.
Take care not to mix or break those multi material structures in 3ds Max operations.

Hi. Same message I sent before. Could you send me a link to download mesh_dump64 from Aviaskins. I have this issues with 3DS Max and the textures in .obj format. Please please please help me ! Thanks

Hi, thanks a lot !!!! Difficult to deal with Russian, but I see there an image with the translation of every item.
I see it exports it as separate objects. Do you know a way to export the entire aircraft with its parts in place ? Sorry if it's a silly question.

Hi, Stainless.

I use your modtool in my modding / modeling.
And it's current release version is 1_0_0_54 , is OK ?

1_0_0_54 's functions seems not all ok.
I also use MshConverterEX to avoid 1_0_0_54 's trouble.

1. About all LODs, planned  UV value "< 0.0" or "> 1.0" (for loop texture rendering) are rounded between "0.0 < < 1.0" and loop is broken.
(Or modelers' bugs but not serious not seen in games .... very small values over 0.0 or 1.0 .... also broken.)

2. LOD0 is OK, but LOD1 or more 's UV - V plus/minus scale is inverted.
LOD1 / 2 / later models cannot be re-used.

3. better to generate Hook objects' rotating information.
Smoke / Fire / Weapon carry (and some more I don't know ones) Hooks use not only attaching position values but also rotating  values.
We have to re-rotate Hooks imported.

I hope your tool will become more perfect.
