hey Koty, you realise that right after Mike has posted that he cleared up OT discussions out of this thread, the very next post you made is another OT one? lol...
please, gents, take the MiG's/museums discussion to the lounge, and let's leave this thread for the Starfighter, thanks. ;)

I think it's time to turn my monitor upside down.
Usually I'd expect the chat to be on the bottom of the forum holding daily chatter messages and the boards to be above holding useful messages for eternity.
These days it looks inverted.
Tech requests and user help is posted in the chat and the forums are flooded with chatting.

Thanks a lot guys. A new experience every other day.

Best regards - Mike

it seems your comment's intent flew right over the heads of everyone in this thread, Mike...
i have now cleaned out the OT posts for a second time, as it seemed to be escalating again.
if it has to happen a third time, i will also be locking the thread completely, so please think before continuing down the OT road in this thread, guys.

when there is any news worthy of an announcement, one will be made.
until such time, don't keep asking for news, rather just wait like everybody else... ;)

I have to say the level of chit talk in this and other threads at times can be annyoing.
As for F-104s, if you guys are serious about this jet and by chance have FSX installed I recommend the SimSkunkWorks F-104 mod, from all I read the most realistic F-104 in any sim, deleloped by real F-104 pilots a.o.

As for this thread, I can contribute an F-104 pilots manual once and if this surfaces at any time again.
Hope that was on topic.

(Quoting picture to have a direct reference.) DO NOT QUOTE PICTURES! - Admin
Looks kind of... rather... :| off, if I may be blunt.
Also the transitions should all be very soft... (And yes, I know how complicated are such transitions to model.)

But... early stage model?

Anyways, keep it up, this plane is highly demanded :))

THIS IS THE LAST WARNING ON QUOTING WITH PICTURES!
IF YOU WANT TO QUOTE, REMOVE THE PICTURES FIRST!

Just found a bunch of F-104 videos... really good video, audio... um... it's quite broken for the first videos...
Enjoy.

The upper image IMHO depicts the AN/ASG-14T-2 FCS indicator, whereas the germans used the NASARR-F15A-41B which featured additional navigation, bombing, and air-to-air modes.
What comes to my mind first when I see pictures of these old radar systems is this:

Heheh... from your picture you can at least tell what's going on xD

...I mean, yes, forgot to mention, it's the radar used on A and C version. A was (with minor modifications - upgraded engine+gun, which was removed from standard loadout after first few units produced) used by Pakistani airforce in Indo-Pakistan wars, though in not really impressive numbers.

The C version was used in Vietnam, maybe some original A's as well.

G was... the German one. While much more cool and stuff, it did not actually see combat... at least AFAIK :|

...And I am waiting for James to visit the museum and dig out some info on C's cockpit...
