Hi having issues with the F2G at 30% of loading the aircraft in QMB the game crashes could use some help

Is there some way to upgrade the texture quality of the radial engine model to the VP modpack quality? I tried to borrow from original F4U and failed.

Hi Guys.

I've added the missing rocket hooks to the wings, don't know if this has already been done, but it works!

For those that have this package simply paste the two .msh files into the 3do/plane/F2G(Multi1) folder.
Those using BAT WAW, you will have to create a folder such as, 3DO_Fixes/3DO/Plane/F2G(Multi1), and place them there.

Help!

Am running 4.12.2m VP Modpack (SAS Modactivator 5.30)
Downloaded Gerd's_UltimateReciprocatingAircrafts _Prototype_04.zip and placed the unzipped folder "Gerd's_UltimateReciprocatingAircrafts _Prototype_04" into jsgmemods folder
Then activated it using jsgme.exe.  No problems so far

Went to #SAS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects\air.ini and created a "backupair.ini"
Then too the original air.ini and added the lines

F8F-2             air.F8F2 1                                    usa01 DESERT
F8F-2Racer        air.F8F2Racer 1                               usa01 DESERT
F8F-2RareBear     air.F8F2RB 1                                  usa01 DESERT
F2G               air.F2G 1                                     usa01 DESERT

However, when I start IL-2 Selector.exe, it starts to load the main game but then crashes back to the IL-2 Selecter.exe input screen.

So I disabled the mod in JSGMEmods.exe and still the same problem.  Had to change the air.ini back to original before I could get the game working again (but without the mod, of course)

Anyone know where I went wrong?

Hi biffa, have you tried adding the Gerd's folder straight into the #SAS folder and adding the lines in the air ini

Thanks for your help.  This worked - but unfortunately my PC runs really slow with it (with head tracker) and I had to delete it.  I have the same problems with trying to run BAT/CUP or Cliffs of Dover.  One of these days I will get myself a decent PC with decent RAM and GPU o_O

I downloaded Gerd's_UltimateReciprocatingAircrafts, put it in the #SAS folder, registered the аir ini ... all the F8F options work fine and F2G doesn't, the game turns it on, you can install the skin and select weapons, but when the battle is loaded, the hang is 44%

Obviously, if you read the full thread like I just did to (try to) help you, some people experienced EXACTLY the same problem since 2015 / 2016 and there still was no better answer than the modder himself, here :

So, I would try either to install Jet Era mod or use #JTW module in BAT (or find the AircraftLH mod elsewhere, maybe), and see if it solves the problem.
