Thanks marcost, much appreciated.
We fly without any text though and no map icons etc so I'd rather not clog up the screen.  One thing we were discussing but I'm not sure if it's possible is if you could assign certain voices to certain squadrons.  I'm guessing that it's not possible as the game simply picks random US voices from the library based on what's happening as opposed to who's saying it.

Hi Tomoose, I understand as I don't use text either.

One thing I haven't tried but may work:

1) In FMB choose a different (historically Allied to your side) Nationality for one of the other friendly squadrons

2) In Samples/Speech folder put a set of US pilot voices for that nationality

You should get those voices from that squadron in game, which might go some way to what you want. If it works, you have as many different voice packs available to you as there are allied nationalities -i.e. quite a few. I've got a couple of different-sounding US voice packs and it would be easy to distinguish between those. So although they won't tell you where they are, you would know which squadron was in trouble and could estimate their location if you knew their flightplan

You will need to turn off nationality markings and use skins with markings already on I imagine.

I've definitely heard British and French pilots talking whilst flying US in a mission with allied flights, so I think it would work

Regards,

Martin

One other thought - it is possible to edit the screen text that appears so you could remove all the text except the location call maybe. So you would only hear a distress call and only see the location on screen
