Do 11 the first Luftwaffe bomber
« on: November 13, 2012, 04:13:20 AM »

While I was looking up the Luftwaffe for my uni work I came across the strange tale of the Do 11 and its offspring the Do 13 and the Do 23. Originally introduced in 1932 it was the first bomber to enter the German war machine. Though it never saw combat with the Luftwaffe it was used operationally by Bulgaria alongside the Luftwaffe in 1941 during Barbarossa. Feel it can be used to great effect for a what if campaign or if anyone wants to do an early bulgarian campaign

Hmmm, didn't realize there was a NAZI airforce.
German air force/Luftwaffe ya, must have worked side by side?

There are no german a/f after Versailles and prior to beginning NSDAP reign. Nazi was created these airforces, and these airforces operated in nazi interests.
That's why.

Learn some History.  ::)

Lesson 1: Luftwaffe is apolitical.
Lesson 2: Reichsluftfahrtministerium formed in April 1933 was a branch of Reichskommissariat für die Luftfahrt, which was in existance since WWI.

Tell me, are F-15 eagles democrat F-15 or Republican F-15?  Or McDonald Douglas F-15? Right so airforce ordered F-15. With funding from goverment. Same with RLM. Luftwaffe placed orders, RLM built with goverment funding. Hitler had his pet projects, so be it, that was the goverment at the time.

And you talk of Versailles? With that treaty that the French want to humilate Germany with, the French goverment set in motion the begining of WWII.

O rly? Luftwaffe is part of nazi German's armed forces. Not just German, but nazi German. And took part in the war on the side of the nazis. And so on.
Lesson 2: Reichsluftfahrtministerium formed in April 1933 was a branch of Reichskommissariat für die Luftfahrt, which was in existance since WWI.
RLM not equal OKL.
And ok, time to learn some lesson. In the elections of 31 July 1932 the NSDAP received 13.7 million votes. This was not enough to form a majority in the Reichstag, but new Reichskanzler, von Papen, immediately began helping the nazis - overturned the ban of SA and illegally deposed the socialdemocratic government of Prussia, for example.
Why Luftwaffe was not formed before, but only then, when the Nazis recieved the power?
Tell me, are F-15 eagles democrat F-15 or Republican F-15?  Or McDonald Douglas F-15?
Is there any differences between these two parts of USA political circus, when viewed from the rest of the world? Will stop neo-imperialist politics of the USA, if the Republicans will be replaced by Democrats, or vice versa?

No.

The Luftwaffe fight for Homeland & her people, hence apolitical. The German party at the time could be the 'blue smurf united party', wouldn't make a difference.  You want to fight for NAZI politics in WWII, you join the Waffen SS. Hitlers personal army, independant of the regular, or 'peoples' army. And the Hakenkreuz on the fin of aircraft dosn't mean the Luftwaffe sided with any politics. It was just common practice, like the stars & bars or the fin flash.

My point for F-15 is that its NOT accociated with the political party. Thats all.

EDIT:
Cleaned my post up, a LOT of anger in it.
Anto I request the thread title be changed. Referring to any soldier by a political affiliation rather than national is an affront to those men.
