Hi, I have build a generic V2 Base with stock objects (DBW). I found this thread after finishing my own work, just for inspiration...

Looking very good indeed.

Regarding your question on industrial sites - some of those near Rostock:

1) Neptun Werks AG in Rostock, known for building U-boats and other naval vessels.  Today the company is building luxurious cruise ships.

2)  Arado Flugzeugwerke in Warnemünde

3) Heinkel Flugzeugwerke in Rostock-Marienehe

For non-industrial landmarks besides the V-weapon sites - the gigantic Flak Towers of Berlin came to mind.  They served as aerial defense emplacement, air shelter during Allied bombings,  and as ground defense sites during the Battle for Berlin in 1945.

I believe that Wingflyr built some nice models of these structures.

Berlin without the KdF, kanzlei des führers is like a map of Moscow without the NKVD Hq  or Red Square -

The Reichstag was a useless building through out most of the National Socialist Regime -
In fact the Reichstag is more of a symbol of a constitutional, representative government than
of the fascist regime - A map of Berlin needs the Kanzlei des Führers der NSDAP  or (KdF) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reich_Chancellory

Berlin Germany 1947 Rare Destruction #1

- Incredible color footage from the end of WW2.
First part is of President Harry Truman and high ranking generals visiting Berlin. Notice his
personal airplane and the flags that are painted on the fuselage. There is even a Japanese
battle flag on it!
Also see how Berlin was bombed. Many parts of the city were left untouched, including
many factories and rail-road lines were left intact.
Amazing color film!

Man, I'd sooooo love a nice, better-than-default WW2-era Berlin map.
But there is so. bloody. much. work. required.

Take as much time as you need.

The last update is from December 31, 2012 so I think that the project is dead together with the other map (eastern front) and CanonUK's excellent skin website. Its a pitty because the maps could have been finished by a volunteer and the skins could have been hosted by mission4today. I cant tell when was the last time I saw a screen with a CanonUK skin. :(
