Anyone out there knows the mechanism behind this fatal detail in the game?

Hi Poltava,

I know that if you use Windows Explorer to delete a current campaign (i.e. at least one mission complete) it can corrupt all campaigns for that pilot (corrupts campaigns.ini in Users/pilot folder).

The only safe way is to delete the campaign in Il2 before using Windows Explorer to delve into the Missions/Campaigns/folders.

Sounds like a corrupted Campaigns.ini file to me. If you open it in notepad a good one looks like cyrylic while a corrupted one has chinese characters!

Hey guys, need some help:

It appears that the game cannot load the BoF map, but I have the 39-45 maps pack installed all right, any idea? (I have the exact same problem with all BoF campaigns...)

With all probability some mismatch between the all.ini that loads your map, and the map entry in the .mis file. Check this! The easiest thing is to alter the entries in the all.ini.

TICI;
try Windows Restore (in Windows 7) on just your Campaign folder.  Go to the Campaign folder in Explorer and right-click on the folder and select "Previous Versions".
I've used this method to recover my entire IL2 Folder after I messed it up.

Note: I think this will only work if you have Windows Restore "on" in your system settings.

Hi guys, im using 4.11m and HSFX 6.17 and I installed this wonderful looking campaign, firstly I had the dreaded memory unable to read error, which I worked out was due to the Turret Mod so removed that and got a full loading.  The missions showed up in the RAF campaign list and indeed loaded complete with briefing, but I now find I am unable to go to arming to check or change the skin..O.K I thought I can live with that and hit Fly Now. Once loaded I find myself with the view of a blue sky and blue ground with a few green trees (No aircraft at all) has anyone else had this problem and managed to get over it?
