Yea I've played around with windows 8 and I don't like that Metro thing. It leans too far towards touchscreen products. Thanks Bravo

Is a good list, but sugest visit www.tomshardware.com and check comparison charts, the videocard is not so good... try a GF480 to 590, about memory get just 8GB but in hight frequence, 1600 or more...

Storage is a biggie..............

I have a SSD for my OS 120Gb

a 300Gb Velociraptor for my game drive

and a 230Gb Seagate for all  my storage.

With that set up I can reinstall OS when I get a virus and never lose any of my game stuff, I can run 4 installs on my "E" game drive and I still have I have clean 4.10.1 and 4.11.1 install on the Seagate as a back up to my Game drive.  Plenty of storage is a must in any build.  And Yes I could partition a 1TB drive, but what if it craps out on me...........I lose everything.  And for some doing a fresh instal of your OS can be difficult on a partitioned drive.

GTX 580 is a good VGA, it should be cheap now since all the new ones are out.  But the CPU is the key for most flight sims..... I have 8Gig of RAM and that seems fine for my system, i7 2600K CPU, Asus Revolution Mobo, 8Gig of Crucial RAM, MSI 580GTX video CCA......   I'm using a Zalman CNPS9900MAX R fan... can't beat Zalman...... and Cooler Master HAF X RC-940 good cooling and quiet.

Save up and spend your money wisely don't be hasty and get something you'll want to upgrade quickly...

Cheers

Everery time you build a new computer, do a 2 or 3X power than you need today, the evolution of games will ever request more and more...
