Max, are you referring to the Henschel Hs-132? The Soviets captured prototypes in various stages of assembly.
No Gerrit, I was talking about the Junkers-187 .
The cool thing about that crazy airplane, apart from having a rear armored turret, was that
the complete tail fin twisted down after it was in the air! AAAHAHAHA!
When it was time to land the airplane, it rotated the whole tail back up and then landed.
Since the airplane was never fully built or tested , no one knows if this idea would ever
work out.

That's pretty cool, I don't think they would have achieved the necessary structural strength with late war materials though.

I think the design/specification dates from earlier, 1940-1941 or so; certainly the RLM cancelled it in '43.

No, not dead. I do have a life outside of IL-2 to attend to!

If this tread is dead for a period of one year, then you might ask if it is dead. Not sooner. Please show your interest for project in a positive way. Not pushing the author, he is devoting a huge part on his spare time giving us this.

No its not dead, it is very much alive  ;)  These things take along time to create and to make them
look and fly properly. We need to relax and do them good.
I am also painting a new skin-template for it,  but I am also involved with 6 other new airplane templates, so
these things take time to make. We also have a real life, outside this hobby too. So time is very valuable.
But do not worry, its still alive.

If, after one year there are no updates to a new mod, then you can ask again.

Hey Max! :) I have three Books about the German Airforce Projectsfrom 1935 to 1945. Also included the Ju 187 with two Picture from a Wooden Model of it.
On this you cant see corretly the aft fuselage but i think the Junkers developer just want to turn the Vertical Stabilizer and Rudder only. If you look on Luft 46 you find even four Picture of the moddel:

http://www.luft46.com/junkers/ju187.html

The lower two Picture show my opinion the best way how the Rudder turn.
I hope you understand my reason and what i mean. Its just my opinion ;)

The Projects from this period such a very interestic chapter of the aviation history :)
So i am very interested on this and ask me how the Projects could work. And the Tail of the Ju 187 is one of this Projetcs the get me a long time to meditation.

Sorry for my bad english, so pls dont be to severe to the text from me.

Best greating BVfreak

Welcome BVfreak, I am also happy to meet someone with the same interests in
Luftwaffe-1946 airplanes as me.  I also have many PDF books on them and also
many paper books. The last paper book I bought (published in the early 1950s) cost me about
120.00 euros.
My book-dealer had to search all over Europe to find one for me, an old man from
Ireland was selling one, looks almost brand new! Very cool!
It is one of the first books that was written about the LUFT´46 projects. So you can tell
I like airplanes and aviation alot.  ;D  Max is crazy.
I think you will enjoy this new mod very much created by Matt Mikoyan99

Hell yes!!!! First time i saw the BV 141 on the German Klassiker der Luftfahrt ( Classics of the Aviation) Magazin, i dosend trust my Eys.
Such a beautifull Plane!! And so i notice about Richard Voigt and his Concept Planes.

And now came Matt Mikoyan and show us the BV-194..... arrrrght i got a Bo... -.- ;)

Not only Max is crazy;) Me to XD. You can say i spend my whole time with Planes;) My mother works in the Plane sales Buisnes, she infected me. And so i work as an Mechanic on Turboprobs and Piston Planes on the same Airport. An old Kanadian/ American Airforce Base.
Since i can remember i was in the near to planes, the Bigest was the An 124 and the smalest the Electra one an electric powered experemental plane wiht 4h flytime. Now i see Everyday four L 39 Alpatros Jets and work on Four Do 228 who based on the beautifull Do 28B.

My Luft 46 knowlege based on the three Books called secret project of the Luffwaffe 1-3. Its a treasure for me, because Number one is the first version of the Row.

So i think we both and all other Il2 players become an wery interestic Plane :)

Evening greatings from Germany BVfreak :)
