Thanks mandrill. Right now I am studying how auto popup works  and how it is laid out. So I can take what you got and coperate it to the Pacificmap.

Mandrill thanks for your time on this. I am trying to figure this out. Not how to get it to work but how it works. How does the template know which tile to go to? So if I modify the buildings I know what to do. You know like a template for dummies. I am trying to load this on my OKI map. Can I change the tile names in the city slots? Does each auto pop go to a seperate City slot? Thanks.

I didn't know Mandrill made an auto-pop tool
Only auto-pop utility I do know of was made by Delco

So you make a template for each of the city slots? or the specific tile? Thanks

You can make auto-pop templates for ANY texture slot in the load.ini
Usually though,City0,city1,city 2 and city3

City 0 being Inner city
city 1 being inner to middle city
city 2 being more outer edge city
and city 3 for Industrial or countryside

Then ,if Industrial texture is used for City 3
you may want to use a country texture slot for Rural towns/villages

On my WWI Somme map
I used all the City texture slots for Inner,Mid and outer city and the industrial area's and the Country1 slot was used for the rural towns

Any texture slot can be auto-popped though

Mandrill Thanks for your wonderful templates that I will be using in 1024. Do you have any suggestions on how I would make that area where you place the objects to 3200x3200 or 2048 textures? I know I must make that area twice as big I think. Since I will be retexturing maps with the HD mod I would like to break that barrier into 2048. I got the autopop working in 1024. I can get it to work taking your 1024 and have it autopop on a 2048 texture in FMB but I will get textures in water. No much big deal to delete those it is just not the best. Any thoughts or direction would be grateful.

In the documentation in Autopop it has the 3200 squared out so looks like it is possible. I am going to try to figure it out. It will delay my OKI map but I want to give it a try.

Well  found the solution. I took the map_t.tga file that has the 2 squares on the bottom left corner and made 3 squares with the third placed in the right place. Now I take a 2048x2048 texture in city0 on my autopop map and populate it. Then go though work flow to get my Actors static file and put in map and presto autopop for 2048x2048 HD mod. So now you can make a 512,1024 or 2048 autopop with the one map_t.tga.
