Okay... I am going to make a pretty simple posting guideline rule chart. This is for hose who don't have the time to read the brilliant guidelines made by the SAS Team members (thanks, guys) that are very lengthy and descriptive on the guidelines/rules.
For the SAS Teammembers: I am not a teammember, but if my post has holes in it, please notify me or use your magica Fuhrer-like powers to make it correct/better. Here's the number 1 most broken rule that I've seen: DO NOT make a post where it's like "Hey modders, can you make me a Eurofighter? Here's what it looks like and a link to some pictures"! That is very bad. It's like writing a novel that's supposed to be juicy and stuff but it is written going directly to the plot, making it boring. Have detail in your post; Here is a very nice example (Thanks, fresco23 , for the post):
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,30982.0.html No. 2: Have it nicely written. Make it very easy for modders to read and understand, so put lots of detailed info in nice order, instead of saying "The Hispano 1112 was a licence copy of a Bf-109 G-2, it had a Merlin 500-45 engine and was blessed with a ~450 KPH top speed.". That is not very comprehensible. It should be like: "The Ha-1112 was a derivative of the Hispano 1109, a copied version of the Bf109 G-2. The 1109 had a Hidpano Suiza engine..........."
No.3: Make it to the point. Don't make the request go from a Short Sunderland III to a Short Empire, as the request is for that Sunderland. I've made requests where somebody puts a model photo of the plane with a mistel which we don't have in Il-2 and the whole thread goes into that mistel plane.
No.4: The last rule is that it should not have vulgarity of some sort. In any language. Yes, this forum has people from all over the world that can understand your nice sailormouth commentaries, even if it is in Swahili or something. Also, don't put a request of a german plane with that swastika on the tail and comment it saying that the swastika is good. Oh yeah, SAS people have the good and trusty NO POLITICS rule.
Well, that covers it. If you vilate these rules, the guys give you a nice message saying "Update your posts to these guidelines:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,12475.0.html"
That link is the full version of this summary, so, if you wanna do a Cramjam on this topic, use that to help.
Merry Christmas!
