These are what i call transitional textures where the ' bridging ' texture consists of colours of both the textures that you want to merge, these are from my desert map but the same principle can be applied to beaches.

That is truly beautiful! The best desert I have seen in Il-2!

I seem to have a problem being able to blend the textures together when they have a great deal of contrast
between them. For instance in this Pacific map where the dark green of the jungle meets the light sand of the beach.

This is still an early version of this texture too. When I get the shape worked out I will use a much better beach and jungle.

I think I am getting pretty close though.

What I do is place the textures I want to use and if they dont match up colorwise I open them in my photo program and work on them untill their color is as close to looking like they should be next to each other as I can.

Here it is using the texture you suggested Mark, with the beach you sent me.

Getting closer but I think I can do better still.
