:)  This is like a 21st Century IL-2 Sturmovik.  An armored, heavily armed, tank killer.  +1 from me also.

I love the A-10... But I fly IL2 because it's WWII based... If I wanted to fly the A-10 I'd fire up my old copy of Falcon 4.0... Download the mods that let you fly anyplane... And enjoy it.

Also... DCS A-10 is about as close to the real thing as you can get... If you have a newer computer.

Like I said... Awesome plane... I'd just rather the resources be used for expanding WWII aircraft... Let the Falcon 4.0 modders handle the jet stuff.

I understand your feelings Barrett but things are progressing for IL2. Jets, jeeps and boats. Just remember the saying " If you dont want it, dont download it. "Or, put it down because you dont like it" I know thats not what you were doing here, just thought I would throw that in for others in future referance.

Completely agree. That said, A-10s are awesome.

Yeah I understand... It's just my personal preference that what's currently in IL-2 gets improved before we get carried away with newer jets that other sims already portray... Like having mixture and supercharger stages readily and easily mapped to HOTAS controls... Or being able to switch between fuel tanks... Stuff that could make IL-2 more realistic.

Like I said... My personal opinion... And I probably shouldn't have voiced it here as I'm derailing this person's thread.... I meant no harm or ill-will.

That being said... And to help get this back on track... I love the A-10's "whine." It has a unique sound.  I liked watching them take off in Afghanistan... And occasionally one or two would do a high speed pass over the runway and pull straight up and roll... I assume they were celebrating a kill or something... But it was cool to see!

I spent a long part of my life climbing up & down from those Hog's. Sure would have been awesome to fly in one though!
