XF5U Flying Pancake
« on: January 12, 2013, 07:02:49 PM »

why didn't i think of this before. It's my favorite plane during WW2. I am requesting the XF5U flying pancake. Even tho it didn't really see combat during the war. It is still the coolest prop plane ever made, and would be a great addition to IL2

Added some more info for you:

Detailed cutaway here, VERY LARGE pic

Reminds me of Strikers 1945 (like I said before in a similar request a few years ago, this will complete the collection of that game's aircraft into IL-2 -- P-38J, Ki-84-Ic, Ta 152H-1, J7W1, Mosquito FB.VI, and this:

This is cool, just like the German version, the Sack AS6-

Can't wait for some modder input, pancakes and Il-2 go well together!!! ;D

Those flying saucer pancakes look pretty cool.  8) I like these Radical designs.

Always loved this... well, hard to call it a bird. Still, with a take-off speed just over 50 mph, it'd be a real asset on a carrier!

Lots of surface area to shower with cannon fire!   It would be fun to shoot this model up.
