Skies of Fire!
« on: January 20, 2013, 08:08:45 AM »

Ladies and gentlemen,
I am pleased to present an epic video for my upcoming mega-mission pack/series, Skies of Fire;

This one was a real b*tch to edit at times!  ;D
Trivia;
-This promotional film took 7 days of work to complete, and some 4 hours of footage were shot.
- The sequence that never was; There was to be a Pearl Harbour sequence following the P-40 desert attack, but it seemed too clumsy and so was removed.
- The most difficult shots to get were the B-17s; they kept rolling out of formation and colliding!
- The first shot filmed was in fact the final fly-past of the Me-262.
- The radio speech at the beginning of the film was delivered by Neville Chamberlain on 3 Sept. 1939, announcing WW2.
I hope y'all enjoy it. Check out the SoF WIP thread over here, soon to be updated;

 ;D
Kind regards,
Mike.

Very very good ! Your videos are works of art ... 8)

Makes me wonder when you see how many aircraft we now have, over such a large time scale. Could this be done (something like it) within DBW1916,SCW,WWII,1946,Korea,Vietnam and the Eighties? All in one Sim eh it would be cool...  ;)

Lanius, where have you been hiding? This is already possible in the present IL2+mods for the past year or 2 years now.
You can choose any decade to create your flying adventures now... 1916 - 1926 - 1936 - 1946 - 1956 - 1966 - 1976 -
1986 ...etc...  and even some futuristic looking jet airplanes for a IL2-1146 game!

Alotef, I forgot to ask, what maps are you flying in?
 Give me some tips so I can try some of those in a quick flight.
I have been spending way too much time painting skins and not flying in the IL2 skies for awhile.
