... well now the speed limit in my street is 30 km/h, it was 50 km/h last week ...  :D

Well so far I have tested 21 mods out of 39, and of course I started with the best ones, but now I have to start testing all the radar and bomber stuff ...  :'(

The problem is the 4.09 Rebel Sanctuary is a very serious and strict section, no booze nor any pussy to boost beta testing, so what is there left apart from whipping myself each morning as soon as I get up, to beta test faster, like there was no tomorrow ...??  :'(

Sorry for english. I run now 50% campaigns 4.09 u.p. and 50% DBW. I play only aircraft 39-45 and love my 4.09 "modded version".The good: is MY modded version with my preferred mods; the bad:my version is not optimized, with "conflict mods".
DBW: The good: is the future, with mod pack "as is", stable, "professional crew optimized" ;The bad: mod pack "as is"!
I am a 4.09 rebel but i am a "DBW megafan"!! Long life SAS!

I am totally in line with Epervier and with my group we continue to use 4.09.

There are several reasons, but mainly we stick to 4.09 because, as a modder, I don't want to waste my time to adapt our mod configuration at each release from DT. Second point is that we flight only between 1936-1945 period on European theater only and some of following "official" version are not very interesting for us.
However, when necessary, we code what is useful for us.

Our 4.09 modded version is not at all frozen, include a lot of features (since at least 2 years) such as variable weather, improved G effects for pilots, AI visibility corrections caused by clouds-night-sun, AI's triggers, etc...

At this time, before end of next week, I will incorporate a new mod which allows AI taxiing before takeoff. I am not a video and fraps specialist, my development PC is limited in term of CPU and graphics, but 2 short videos to show what is possible to do with 4.09:

http://hist-simu.2jg51.org/Mods/AItaxi01.wmv
http://hist-simu.2jg51.org/Mods/AItaxi02.wmv

Because we have made a common development with UP, two years ago, all mods are packed under SFS format.

Just to say that 4.09 is still alive  ;)

Hi mate!

Any news about last AOC development?

If someone like to test it features how can do it?

All the very best!

Hi Walter,

Lutz has been extremely busy professionally speaking these past months, and I am not even sure he'll see your post (that's why I am writing theses lines)...

As far as I know, his taxiing mod works great, and Lutz is currently working on another very big project (sorry that I can't say more ..)

As for the public version of AOC3, it will be released some day ...  ;)
