Both SPAD VII and ALBATROSS D.III are quite similar to their late marks, the SPAD XIII (slight different 3d, different size, and another MG) and ALBATROSS D.V different tail as the main difference? Wondering If people will like to have those planes slotted and FM'ed as the Spad XIII and the Albatross D.V. Will be nice for late war. My two cents.

Thanks for the tip, but I have already written a letter of request to the
original maker of the Albatros D.3 if he could make these necessary changes for
it to become a version D.5. Until now I have not received any news from him.
I suggest for you to write him a PM letter a ask for it also. Ask nicely.

As for the Spad later version, I am not sure if a new version will (or is already) being
created by the Eastern European mod-artists. They are in large part responsible for
some of the many airplanes you are all flying now and they are creating many more.
If someone speaks better Russian/Polish or Che-ko-slo-va-ki-an please go and ask
them about any future projects.

I already have the "Albatros D.V" in my game, new slot, tweaked FM for added weight and HP. But I didn't edit any of the 3d, still using the D3's 3d, which isn't technically correct. 

As far as differences, on the Spad, there were small differences in size and shape of the fuselage, that could possibly be over looked. They had 2 MG's as you mentioned. Also, I believe the wings were a little different too.

The Albatros DV had a bit stubbier fuselage... I forget the exact size difference (I think @ 6 inches shorter). The tail was different. The engine was upgraded at least twice during the run, from the original D3, to the D3a, to the D3au for some of the Alba DVa. And the biggest thing, when the D.V suffered the same wing peeling as the D3, they reinforced the wings with extra braces, which, in real life, ultimately didn't solve the problem of wings breaking in mid flight, especially during dives.

Yes the D-5 version had a much diferent tail and also those side "stubby things" near the bottom wing coming
out from the fuselage. Forgive me I don´t know what to call them.
Some airplanes had them covered in metal plates. Later versions of the Albatros was
simply a smooth fuselage .
I hope to see it one day fly in the IL2 also. We shall wait .

Both planes are different, but I think we can use them If in a new slot and FM, hope you can share the new Albatros D.V slot and If possible build one for the Spad. For the Albatros fuselage bulges, maybe we can add them on skins?

I agree new planes will be amazing, but until then I will be more than happy to use the early marks 3d model.

@ VP- That would be great!  If you want, you can work on that and I'll work on tweaking the FM over the next day or so. We are expecting @ 6 inches of snow this afternoon, so shoveling will probably have me busy. Once you get that done, you can PM me the link and I'll set up a new cockpit class for that and post it up! If you couldn't tell, I'm all about WW1! 

@ Real Darko- I could do a Spad 13, but I will have to make that, cause I don't have any slots done for it already. As with WW2 era planes, I typically fly German, so that's why I have all these extra German planes already slotted. Hence the Alb.D5, the slot is done, FM is done and being tweaked, just will need new cockpit slot for the repaint that VP is doing. So I'll work on the Albatros first, as it will take less work of the 2.
