An Albatros D.V would be great! Mostly becouse I have a TON of 2048HD skins for the D.V (possibly would have to tweek them but no big deal).

@Ice Eagle-- I'm going to try to map the new tail to the current template. I can't promise it's going to work, I might have to change the template some. It's literally trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. The only skins that concern me are the Jasta 5 skins, with the red outline around the green tail. That will be tricky to line up exactly.

I'm really excited about this! Looking forward to fly the new Alb D.V. Hope you can give your teatment to the Spad too, IIRC DreamK still have a good number of SCW planes in the pipeline so it can take a while to get the XIII by him. I would happily fly with it and against it a Spad VII "Frictioned" into a Spad XIII.

I agree,vpmedia. Just when a chap starts thinking 'not much happening'; the Eastern European modders post a new plane, or airship. If that doesn't happen, someone imports a plane from CFS.  Reason #957 to keep visiting this site.

@VP- Since I'm the newest member to the 1916 team, maybe you can send me a PM telling me which planes are being worked on by whom, so that I don't start working on something that's already being done. Besides the small 3d edit projects and slots, I'm also working on something else too.

I remember the SE5a that Modding Monkey was working on, but I don't think it ever got through modelling phase. In fact, there were parts of it that were not started, last I saw. Not sure where he went to, whether he still has the plane, or whether he shared it.

Last we messaged here, Modding Monkey and his mates were on active duty along the strip, after those Palestinians fired rockets into the territory earlier this year. I've not heard from him since. However the Se5a 3d was mostly completed (just a few LOD's or hooks/collisions missing to make it perfect). AFAIK, it was him and his squadron mates, myself, mac1 and malone who were working on it.

I have a 3d model of a SPAD.13 from a friend of King's named Gabriel, but it was poorly mapped (for skinners) - and the model is somewhat not as well divided as it could have been - but otherwise it is very detailed and well done. I began to link some of the meshes and sub-divide (as some parts were too large and wouldn't load in-game) and re-organise the mapping. It's on another HD though which I can't access atm.

Ah, sounds like that Spad 13 is in a bad way. Might be easier to start from scratch, or use the 7 as a donor. Mapping issues could be solved, but parts divided wrong, having to reweld things... no thanks.

I really hope that Modding Monkey is ok. I haven't seen him in a long while. I didn't know he was on active duty in Gaza. Not the best place for anyone to be.  Thanks for the update though!

Well, RD, I'll either use the 7 as a donor or build from scratch, it might be easier that way, cause it sounds like the other one is in very rough shape. Or someone else will get to it before I do, either way, one plane at a time... sometimes 2 or 3.  We'll get there.

Well, it's not so bad, it's a win-lose situation. The model is absolutely brilliant and all the internal structure is nicely done and the plane is cut just as nicely, but for IL-2 this means we don't have CAP ends, so I am not sure if that would be a problem or not, I don't think it would affect the outcome though. It could have been done better, but it is still very workable. I'll fish the files out soon for a proper evaluation.
