Repaint objects
« on: February 05, 2013, 03:22:57 PM »

I'm not sure this can be done but it would be nice.
The objects are green for spring or summer.
This looks funky on winter maps. These are the objects I have in 1916
To have winter objects would be very nice.

That looks great Sir. Yes.
If that is in the 1916 objects I darn sure missed it.

You didn't miss anything.
I repainted the extracted texture (originals created by Canonuk as far as I know) into a winter version.
Ran out of time at the moment but give me one or two days and I will upload it so you can install it as a new winter object.  ;)

How big and wide are those trenches? 2 pixels or more?
It would be cool to add/paint more details into them.

One of these days I will defenitly be repainting a few houses and objects to
be a little more realistic for my game.

I don't know about pixel width to be honest.
Original file size is 24-bits/512 pixels.
By converting the .tga to 8-bit it gave me the opportunity to resize the .tga to 1024 pixels without expanding file size too much.
After a complete repaint (instead of just adding some snow to original one) everything is more detailed.

You did a great on that re-paint Uufflakke. Mighty nice.

Some of these skins are so small its unbelievable any pixels at all can fit into some of them.

Besides repainting it was necessary to redo the damage model.
Originally after bombing the trench transformed into a completely different blackened trench.
That is corrected now.

I must say you did a outstanding job on this and very fast.
Thank you VERY much.
My joy comes from building maps[mission] and now  with these they will
look more like the real thing.
Again Thank you.
