I spent 3 month driving thru USA together with my wife and two friends. That continent fascinate me. So huge difference and amazingly high tolerance to others. We met all kinds of people while diving our rental car.
We went where Custer fell in the battle in Little Big horn, visited old graveyards where you read her lies ***** assassin outside his house or just Mom.
All this history I read while I grew up about wild west. I was in heaven while we traveled there. We was eating breakfast in Sioux City. Loved that place

Wait. You LOVED Sioux City? Or just the US in general?

Because the only thing I've ever heard visitors say about Sioux City was them complaining about the smell (because the interstate that goes through SUX goes right past the water treatment center and the meat packing plant, so it really smells)

Hey Sloppy,

About 12 years ago, I had a contractor foot my bill to Sioux City for an "in plant" inspection of some gear.  It seemed like a fine place, since I married my beloved from Wichita, Kansas.  The strip club, that he "insisted" I accompany him to, literally shoving a 20 in my face...was fabulous.

Corn fed, and Corn fused.

Love the gals out there.  If they are anything like my Kansan...they wanted to get the hell out of there...fast.

We live in Tampa, now.

Cheers

LeOne,
If you ever get near Seattle, let me know.  I will wine you and dine you and let you explore this area of the US.  Not much point though.  To me it looks a whole lot like Norway, but not as pretty.  Lots of Scandinavians immigrated to the Seattle area, so you could find lutefisk and other delicacies.  Then I could set you out on the road North and send you up to visit Alaskaman . . . but then again weather like you are probably used to.

You probably want someplace with a little sunshine.....  sorry I don't know anybody in Hawaii.  I could send you to visit my brother in the Phoenix area. but that place is so hot that I don't even go to visit him there.  We meet uo in California for a visit!!   ;D

Would be nice, I am more a tourist for exploration, getting to know people. In Crete last year we had an account on 5 places. I just gave these resturants 200 Euros to keep a tab on us.
We came in and ate or some of us , we are 5 . leaving again full . Noone ever did steal that money, but any rest we had was tip when we left the place.
We always conect and explore, the sun is less important. I think this year we go Thailand for three weeks at christmas

Sadly, we aren't the rich type we were once upon a time... Barely making it, but surviving, that's all that matters.

Hey Guys.

The place I live since 10 years is not really exotic. But its the oldest Village of Germany:   Trier  in the far west of Germany on the frontier to Luxembourg. I work in Luxembourg and thats the reason why I moved from Homburg /Saar to Trier

Trier - old Roman city of great antiquity and also birthplace of Karl Marx ... my wife and I went there on our 'official' honeymoon. Spent a week touring the Ardennes and crossed over into Trier for a night and visited the sights. Also had a great bratwurst in a backstreet eatery. Nostalgia for us and it was somewhat exotic or very atmospheric and pleasant.

Besides, exoticism or an appeal to the senses does not usually come from places you take for granted. Now that we are on the verge of moving away, I have experienced our city as captivating, exotic, mysterious, incredibly varied and photogenic and teaming with myriads of aspects and facets that appeal to the senses. But, if we had never decided on moving, I would probably not have been aware of all this.

So carpe diem in Trier ... not every city can boast being so old ...
