GPU GeForce GTX 1660 TI but driver version 432.0, so probably not the latest.

Edit : I've updated to the latest. v 445.75. Got it now now. Thanks

Ghost129er used a revive!
Ghost129er brought a dead thread back to life!

Memes aside, I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600, just wondering I'm assuming this program doesn't work with AMD CPUs for this calculation..? Getting a reading of 0 for the value and I'm fairly certain that's not a good value to put in the config file..?

Ewwww.... this is an ancient tool.
I should have a laptop with a Ryzen 5 lying around somewhere, will need to use that one for testing as otherwise I'm an Intel guy.
I'll take a look at it.
Two weeks, be sure.

Sorry for the late reply, only got back to this today.
Maybe there's a misunderstanding here.
The ProcessAffinityMask tool in it's original version doesn't provide a "reading" value.
On launching the tool, it always shows the number of detected cores, whether or not they're using hyper threading, and the corresponding checkboxes.
Since the latter are unchecked per default, the resulting value is "0" unless you tick at least one of the checkboxes.

In the first post of this thread you can find a new version 2 of the ProcessAffinityMask tool which can read the ProcessAffinityMask value from conf.ini if present, and init to the current state from conf.ini accordingly.
But that's just a "nice to have" feature.
The intended use of this tool is to put it into your IL-2 game folder, run the tool, select the cores IL-2 should run on yourself, write the resulting value to conf.ini and that's it.

Hi mates!

I have tested the different results with my i5 12600kf in different situation and I got some strangeness....the track was always The Black death with messages enabled....

Process Affinity Mask settings:

Nr. of CPU core 10
Hiper treading enabled

First I run my rig with old 2 core value (15) , than with all phisical core enabled (349525) , and after with all core (phisical and virtual) enabled (1048575)....and the last again with the initial value (15) to check if there was some change after multiple reloading of the game....

But I got the best FPS in the old configuration....

Any thought about?

Further test and results with different affinity mask settings in the next future....
