No problems! I also run 4.09 heavily modded, but have recently installed 4.12, and I must say, the options are just amazing now! But will keep 4.09, for sure.

Do you think mr. Tiger will ever expand UV3 to include planes like F-4 and MiG-21? Flybys on those two wound be pure ear joy! This is what I have on mind, it features Mirage III, but he sounds are the point.... Joy starts around 02.15...

... well I don't think so, Tiger has left the world of modding, he is too busy with real life ...  :(

But who knows ...?  After all he may decide to come back whenever he wants, who would complain ...?  :D

I believe that there would be zero complaints, just pure joy and some worn out F3 keys... But now, with existing jets, and upcoming stars like Tomcat, Falcon, Hornet, it would be so awesome to have some really good sounds for them and flybys on top of that...just dreaming here...

One more idea that I had for a couple of years now, I don`t know if it has been mentioned already... Static camera set to 0m, AI planes flying above or near it, or player making some airshow stuff also around that  static camera. Everything is recorded, and when in playback you can press Ctrl+F6 to get that static camera to track you or AI, and you just relax and watch your flying stuff.

My question is can flyby sounds be set to play while on static camera view, with or without Ctrl+F6? Or are they only ment for F3 key?

Hello,

Since i'm too lazy to look through all 64 pages of these posts I will just ask my question here. I've read through A lot of posts that have the same problem as I have, but none have got a good and adequate result. My problem is when-ever I do a fly-by, not a single sound comes about. I've tried resolving the issue but i have not got it figured out. My sound files include,

 [sound]
SoundUse=1
SoundEngine=1
Speakers=0
Placement=0
SoundFlags.reversestereo=0
RadioFlags.Enabled=1
RadioEngine=2
MusicVolume=8
ObjectVolume=14
MusState.takeoff=1
MusState.inflight=1
MusState.crash=1
MusFlags.play=1
MasterVolume=14
Attenuation=7
SoundMode=1
SamplingRate=2
NumChannels=4
SoundExt.occlusions=0
SoundFlags.hardware=1
SoundFlags.streams=1
SoundFlags.duplex=1
SoundExt.acoustics=0
SoundExt.volumefx=0
SoundFlags.voicemgr=0
SoundFlags.static=1
VoiceVolume=12
Channels=64
SoundExt.extrender=0
SoundFlags.bugscorrect=0
SoundSetupId=8
ActivationLevel=0.02
Preemphasis=0.85
RadioLatency=0.5
AGC=1
PTTMode=1
SoundFlags.UseRadioChatter=0
SoundFlags.AutoActivation=0
RadioFlags.PTTMode=0
RadioFlags.PlayClicks=0
ActLevel=0
MicLevel=0
SoundFlags.forceEAX1=0

If someone could help me resolve the issue it would be much appreciated, ;D

                                                                                      Sincerely,  ~Kosmikz~

Hello kosmikz,

You give too few details about your game for us to be able to help you ...  :(

1) Laptop or desktop ? (if laptop with sound chip board, drivers up to date or not ?)

2) which version of the game ?

3) what about posting your log.lst file ?

What you first could try is this in your conf.ini:

SamplingRate=1

[Console]
HISTORY=1024

Hey kosmicz,

You have a game (presumably) for nothing.

All modders here gave weeks or months of their life to IL-2 to improve.

You bother here cause you're to lazy to read? This is an outrage!

You know, to solve your problem you do not have to read all 64 pages.

Hook up your intelligence (if any) read only what is necessary for the solution of your problem and after a few minutes you know what you have to do or not do!

And finally: Do not forget to say "thank you" to Mick!

Mick wrote a lot of these "64 pages".  ;)

Hey Mick,

So it turns out that their was a space between one of my textflags files which in turn was causing the flyby's not to work. I appreciate all the help you've given me to install this awesome mod and I hope nothing but great things for you in the future.

Thanks again,~Kosmikz~

Hi All

Got HSFX 7 with Modact 5.03.  Installed Jetwar.  Loaded HSFX in Expert mode and in QMB i checked the planes.  Prop planes worked fine with Tiger's Flybys enabled but when i selected a jet, on loading it got 100% and stopped.  I pressed Escape and got a pale blue screen and had to get out of it.  With Tiger's Flybys disabled, jets work OK. Also selecting certain maps allows jets to work. Any ideas?  Also, which version do we use for Modact 5.03 etc. Are they the same except for the named folders they go into?

I loved the great flyby sound of Tigers UV3. I want to stay up to date but might just go back to DBW 1.71. It's a pity that things work for some and not others. Miss those great sounds. Wish there was something on the horizon as the sounds are the most important part for me.

Hi there,

I did everything as mentioned below, but the sound mod doesn't work for me in Vanilla 4.12.2m+5.3 Modact+5.3 AI Flyables+Optional JSGME extras. It is, like the mod doesn't exist, no different sound, but also no game problems???!!!

Does anyone has any idea? I would love to play the game with those sounds. Thank you!

Okay, so after playing around with the .rc file I have gotten Tigers sounds stable in Vanilla 4.12.2m+5.3 Modact+5.3 AI Flyables+Optional JSGME extras. Check out my .rc file and see where I placed Tigers sounds. You can copy and paste my .rc if you'd like. The .rc file is in SAS>std

So, 1) Download jsgme Tigers sounds 4.09. 2) Delete the buttons file and .rc file in the UV3 folder. 3) Place that UV3 folder directly into your SAS folder. 4) Download and place the two .sfs files in your main game folder. 5) Add the two Tigers sounds lines to your .rc as I did above (If you are running vanilla 4.12.2+MA 5.3+AI 5.3+JSGME extras you can copy and paste my .rc content into yours.)

@ tmansteve and Travelbob and whoever else posts an issue ...

For God's sake, POST YOUR LOG ...!!

No log, no help possible, it is as simple as that ...!

So read my post #822 on this very page ...!

 ... besides since you are using Modact 5.3 you don't even need to install the Instantlog mod ...  :P
