... thanks flightdok74, you are right, and this still puzzles me, since UV3 is a sound mod, so normally graphics settings should have no impact on it ...  ???

But well since UV3 also comes with a 3D folder for the blue flame effect, may be ...  ;)

To be sure you are using "perfect mode" in OpenGL check that you have this setting in your conf.ini, which seems to be already the case for Avarik ...

I've tried version 4.12.2m and have since downgraded to 4.10.1m due to some stability issues with some mods and the lack of support for them with that version.

The "Perfect" quality is grayed out for me in-game, and I have already enabled HardwareShader in OpenGL.

It's also 0 for DirectX. Maybe I need to activate it too?

But well since UV3 also comes with a 3D folder for the blue flame effect, may be ...  ;)

Maybe this is the root of the problem. Is there a way to disable that?

Yep ! ... my log is full of error but i think its not the right one because this log is done when I just dont have any flybys pressing F3 I have silent only my Mg`s still work :) today I will send You a another one and I try to do this Log when Tiger will work and with flyby and I can say I back to my old problem with .... CTD after one flight ...

... this is not normal ... do you also have "stencil buffer" ON in the graphics settings panel ?

Are you sure your conf.ini is not in "read only" (right click on the conf.ini file, then check "properties") in which case all new settings are lost as soon as you exit the file ...

Once you've made and saved new settings in your conf.ini NEVER go back to the game Graphics settings panel, as this will overwrite what you've just done ...

... no, because you can't run OpenGL and DirectX at the same time, and you'll get the best visual quality (which your rig deserves) with OpenGL ...  ;)

... yes, provided you can find and access the 3D folder in question (my UV3 is not compiled in SFS format, so I can see the 3D folder without prob, but I don't know about yours), then you only need to put the minus sign (-) just in front of it (rename it in fact) to comment off the 3D folder

... yep, but the goal of the log is to show all problems and errors once you've loaded your game and/or mission ...

If there is a reason why you don't get fly by sounds, we should be able to see it in your log ...  ;)

You Have absolutely right Mick ! one more question ... because Bravo wrote to put a #UV3 to sas or mods folder but which one ? DBW , HSFX or up 2.01 ? which one is the best or which one is the most compatible with MS 5.3 if we can say about something like that :)

... in your case I suspect this:

"This Link is for Tigers last update for HSFX 6.17, so you need to delete the Buttons File and the .rc File to make it work in your MA 5.3 Installation"

Looks like your log says you don't have the right "buttons"...  ;)

The "Mods" folder is called #SAS, then put your HSFX 6.17 UV3 folder in it ...  ;)

Bravo says you need the HSFX version of UV3 (and gives you the link to it), not HSFX as a pack ...
