...deleting "-" in front of effects did it for me; WORKS;using DBW1.71 (with or without HD mod); with the original 410 download FM; have not changed it yet.
My file position is still "_" in front; unchanged, which is early loading as is. Delete/restore QBM.ini in Quicks; try another map.


 - original downloaded FM: lost 820m in engagement, gondola deployed, good rate of descent... (1000m to180m ).
 - separate download FM-2 410buttonsSAS: works; lost 710m in similar engagement, gondola deployed, slightly slower rate of descent.
   ( 1000m to 290m ). The plane continued to descend a bit 320m to 290m while catching up speed with the cupola back up.
 - difference in final altitude might be due to combat durations...

I have tried all three of the new FMs for 4.09 and in each case the aircraft maintains height until it extends its gun cupola when the height loss starts. As soon as it withdraws the guns it climbs back to its designated altitude.

therefore  same in 410 / DBW.

I Still cant get the skins to show on this plane? I've noticed in the SUMMER/DESERT folders that my skin1o.tga are both of a 1940s saluting cheerleader in red? This is the image that displays as the skin in my QMB?

I tried copying the skin1p.tga up to 1024x1024 and substituting that as my skin1o.tga and albeit this is the damage skin it did show properly in my QMB screen, however when loading a mission I got a memory error although the plane did actually appear on screen (Briefly) this time.

I'm stumped? Is the download corrupted?

There are skins for this plane? I've just gone through the posts and don't see any links to other skins. Have I missed something?

As another thing though - I remember that on another plane, the Caudron, you had to add alpha channels to all the tga skins in order for other skins in .bmp to show up ...

I mean the default skins in the QMB skin screen - see the previous post, both my skin1o.tga in the SUMMER/DESERT folders show as this;

I've tried downloading both versions and both have this as the skin1o.tga file ??

I am having a 70% CTD (UP3.0RC4 + DBW 1.71). I have done everything according to instruction and have copied the patch FM to the _Leo451 folder. I have tried both with the 4.10 SAS button FM and 4.10 UV3 button FM but of no avail. I still get the 70% CTD.

Lepere*** this is no 4.11/ HSFX 6.0 mod, the author does not support any modding on 4.11. On this you have to seek help in another tread and hope someone made it work on that patch

Effectively,I should be more careful, but ends up losing with these versions

making, if you look at Ranwer's avatar, that might give some clue as to where that comes from.
as the skin10.tga is not essential, i think he just put that in for a laugh, perhaps?
the one you should concern yourself with is skin1o.tgb
that is the primary default skin that will be used.
i'm kinda guessing here, as i haven't installed this yet, myself - but that's the principle of it, anyway.

if your skin is displaying that, then something is wrong, for sure...

Hi Malone thanks mate I've managed to view the .tgb's you mention in Irfanview (disregarding the renaming option to .tga) and that is the correct skins. I just dont understand why the QMB keeps showing the skin1o.tga instead ?? Surely someone else has run into this problem ??
