what's the problem, exactly, spitfire?
100% crash on mission load..?
again, please post your log file contents here - AFTER you have first deleted the 'last.quick' file in the main game Quicks folder, and tried a mission again....
i need to see that logfile.
also, what other mods do you have installed?
a screenshot of your mods/dbw folder will do nicely, if possible.

OK, so now, the game crashes at 30% when loading a QMB mission with any plane. And I can't show the log because it is... empty!!  ??? And here's a screenshot of my #DBW folder:

did you delete the 'last.quick' file like i asked, and then try the mission again...?
also, you need to install the Instantlog mod, so that the log file will produce results, even if the game crashes early...https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,19308.0.html

Spining around when tail rotor is dead (which takes a bit to be dead actually) isn't autorotation.

This is autorotation:

It's a manouver used to save helicopter when engine dies in flight: by flaring and setting negative rotor pitch you can keep rotor spining at high RPM while you go straight down. Than you apply positive rotor pitch near the ground to slow down and null vertical speed and land using rotor's cinetic engergy.

That's not possible yet - if engine dies, especially in hover, you're dead.

EDIT: I'think that rotation after hit is a bit of overkill - when I got my tail blown away I started to spin at a speed of my main rotor... like 1800rpm... looked funny :D

Tested mission: airstart over Bessarabia with a BF-109G-6. The game crashed at 30%.

Oh, BTW, I've modified my conf.ini with water=2. It maybe comes from here!

Edit: OK, we're progressing! I've put water=1 in my conf.ini and tested an other mission (Scramble start over Smolensk with a BF-109G-6). This time, I get a crash at 60% with this logfile:

EDIT: I'think that rotation after hit is a bit of overkill - when I got my tail blown away I started to spin at a speed of my main rotor... like 1800rpm... looked funny :D

Still....buggy...

Malone how did you add smoke to your engines when it overheat?? I tried to do the same but for my case there was no smoke just drop in engine power/RPM, any special mods you used??

anyways V2.5 flies great!!! It is like my favorite aircraft in IL2 now  :D

Try increasing the RAM setting and if it won't help try to set it to 256.
