Yes, I think he meant AI Engines Mod 2.6.

Next version of Mi-24 will be called 2.7. I've already thought about confusions, so decided to call it differently from other mods.

btw, any news on a template, Max?

I am looking forward to your new campaign :)

Not sure I do , I fly his Beufighter in Sands of time campaign. I flown 3 hours in the 4th mission not beeing able to survive. But jeezzez how fun. But I use far too much time on this as is :P

I narrowed it down to one classfile inside GurnerFX:

B27261D242F3990A

Deactivating this will bring back missile/rocket function and you will have building smokes too :)
Will do more testing.

Can you tell me what kind of information is in that file (I cant read encoded java files) so that I know what type of errors to look out for?


Are you sure about this class file, because I can't find it, and I also lost the building somes after installing the mi-24?

I see the classfile now but its the SAS engine hotkeys folder not in the Gurner FX!

I find out that deleting that classfile won't solve the problem for the DBW users ( I don't know anything about the other mod activators ) .
If the gurner FX inside your #DBW folder, the only thing what you have to do is just to put a "!" sign before the gurner fx' folder name, right after that the Gurner FX folder will be above the SAS engine hotkeys 2.6!

example: !Gurner FX 4.3 this is what it should look like!


After that you will get back the building fire and smoke effect!

First: with this discussion, please go to the Gurner FX mod or into AI Engines Mod topic. This topic is about discussion of Mi-24.

Second: your advice is a bit useless and it can ruin some very important functions of AI engines mod and can bring your install to the not working state.

Better to wait for some fix.

Yeah its better moved to the AI Engines Hotkeys 2.6 mod topic.
Its not Gurners fault because he made his mod first therefore he could not have made it compatible with a yet unreleased mod. Btw I'm using its 4.1 version not 4.3. In my DBW i didnt encounter further problems after deactivating only one classfile inside GurnerFx 4.1.

No problem, I should have been more clear about the version.

Bottom line is that this isnt wasted's fault, it only effects his work.

Btw what youre saying is strange because in my experience the classfile from the AI Engines and Hotkeys 2.6 mod should be the active one but in your version the GurnerFX classfile is the one which enables you building fires w smoke + missile/rocket chage function.

Here:

It is essential that you also have the AI Engines Hotkeys mod,
version 2.6RC, as previously mentioned. Without it, you will have some problems.
