I have the strange "deja-vu" I have seen this paint-scheme on a IL2 skin before 
Nexus, do you know much about this DR.1 "Udet" airplane?
I give you a tip... This may not be entirelly the correct color. There are WW1 historians that
say it was not black and white stripes but another diferent color 
Make your research and you will find out a great surprise! The other colors are nice too.

Unless there's a colour foto, or an eye witness account of any particular aircraft scheme/colours, its all guess work.
Other then that, excellent job nexus6.

Wow great work with that skin. I have always loved that paintscheme. Very COOL !!! 

Just to comment a little bit history, that plane (and painting) belonged to Ltn. Kirchstein, from Jasta 6. Then, Udet painted the name of his fiancee, LO, on both sides (I think) of the plane. They thought it made enemy accuracy worse.

Also note Nexus, the original stripes were asimetrical; they were not on the same position on both sides of fuselage. In my opinion, right side ones were a little bit more narrow. I think you didn't see it because everywhere appears left side 

Max, In Osprey's "The Aces of Dr.1 in WW1" says Udet's plane was black and white. But it may have other colors; as you said, in a black and white photo you cannot really say which color is it

It is a good reference. I know you are doing a great job Nexus. I like your skins very much   Cool art skins!
I have also painted 3 skins with this same paint-scheme. It is a classic good looking design.

I will post here the other reference image I have, as depicted by a well known WW1 historian as to the real colors
should be on this aircraft (according to his researches).
Yes, I know, these new colors brought alot of debate among WW1 historians and many fans. But you decide.
Or you can do like me and paint all 3 diferent colors.
