you cannot make a piece of SH- looking bird look better, not even by hanging lametta on it.
sure, why not extend the weapons range, see what happens.

i predict multiple engine failures due to small arms fire, Yakovlevs that tear you apart because of sluggishness, and the speed you can not build up aint doing you no good when manoevering at treetop level.

the only good point it has is the armement. But then 20 and 30mm is not really whats needed. 50+mm would have an impact on the later Tanks. maybe... 75 better.
and how do you mount that on a 335! for the wing guns they already had to place them in front of the wing spar and trouble getting that to work.

75mm Gunpods a la G stuka? Pardon me, but what is that madness.
2x10 panzerblitz rockets? take a 190 for that.

maybe X4 missiles dropped out of the belly, to attack bridges and tanks with?

The Luftwaffe also had the Henschel Hs-129B as dedicated groundpounder and this is in the sim as well. There was even a version with a 75 mm gun!

The B-3 you mean, that's in the sim aswell, and in the loadouts you can put the 75mm cannon from B-3 on the B-2.

Let me search an old He-129 video :)

He-129 shots from communist propaganda movie start from 5:25 and continue a minute or so, there is even one almost flipping over due to wet terrain.

The quality of the video was reduced a bit by the sharing site from the quality it had on facebook..

The Machine has something. But not 109G goodlooking or Spitfire goodlooking or something.

Mean, nasty, naughty, evil, creepy piece of hoochie woochie. :D

I still think it would be a great ground attack aircraft. It is sturdy, can carry a heavy weight, part of it intern, and is fast enough to get out again and avoid the Yaks and Mustangs. Of course it is fiction, but since when does that stop us?  ;)

A bit of self promotion, but just modify some Do-335 skins to go on this:

It has a bombload and forward facing weapons, should do the trick.

Looks super, Mikoyan. What would it take to make a ground attack version of the Do 335 with Panzerblitz missiles and so forth? Wouldn't you be prepared to do it perhaps?

Not really - I don't think it would suit the aircraft. The thing about the Do-335 was its speed - it is (or was) the fastest piston engined fighter ever made. Hanging weapons off the outside comes with a massive drag penalty, which would slow it down and make it more vulnerable to counter attack, so realistically they'd have to be carried internally - ruling out most period rocket projectiles. My advice to you is still to re-skin the S-31, it's the same flight model currently and it already has a warload.
