Kawanishi N1K1-Jb Shiden variant
« on: March 15, 2013, 12:32:24 PM »

The version of this mid-wing plane has all the 20MM cannon internally mounted
2 in each wing, just as we see with the later N1K2-J Shiden Kai:

Would be fun having this Shiden version alongside the N1K1-J and N1K1-Ja that we
currently have. This version has the 7.7MM deleted also (as with the N1K1-Ja), even
though the muzzle blast tubes are still visible on the fusalage.

It probably won't be too difficult for the 3d experts among us to pull this one off by fitting the barrels from the N1K2 onto the N1K1-Ja 3d and deleting the underwing gondolas.
Other changes that were made include:
1) Ammo was increased to 250 rounds for each outer cannon and 125 for each inner cannon, giving a total of 750 20mm rounds.
2) The underwing bomb racks were strengthened to enable 2x 250kg bombs to be carried.
3) There was a reduction in overall drag and weight due to the deletion of the underwing gondolas and the guns in the nose.

OMG!! This looks just like the one from Combat Flight Sim 2!!! Maybe, you can steal that model and use it? With credits of course.

if you asks me, it looks more like the one we already have in Il-2.... ;)
what are you on about, wanting to steal MS models....lol !
please remember, here we are only 'allowed' to steal from Oleg and 1C - anything else is apparently theft of a more heinous sort.  :D
tsk, tsk, no wonder Karlsland's Air Force is in such a sorry state...more lolz! :D
