Tu-85 frankenplane by Bison M
« on: March 18, 2013, 03:38:03 AM »

From the pages:

http://forum.aviaskins.com/showthread.php?p=113828#post113828

...as author said:

TU-85-first strategy, and the last piston ..

I want to offer you the Franken Tu-85.
Will the distinguished community interested in this plane as an important milestone in the transition from piston to turboprop bombers? As you know,  Tupolev worked out major innovations is the Tu-85, before using them on the 95th. I want to present to the public schemes and photos and discuss the need for the presence of this planer in the game, because they were only two built, and the Tu-85 was different in appearance to the main length and wingspan. Were slightly better flight characteristics.

I hope author would not mind this report here.
Photo and pictures are at webpages given above.

EDIT:
As you can see in the Reply #7 below, .the author reworked the plane:

EDIT2:
As you can see , TU-85 gained its own slot:

Been 'avin a nose, and extracted the original Tu4 3dos from either jetpack or dbw, then replaced the inner wing 3dos for this versions.
You should be able to see and use them.

Also deleted all class files so it only acts as it was intended.

Please note that I only experiment like this for myself and I have no wish to belittle anyone. (Been doing since EAW was around  ???)

Thanks to Bison et al for their excellent mods.

Hi Andy!
I am glad that you are interested in Tu-85! :) If I right understand your - you propose to change the nose 85th as 95th and change the inner wing for missiles KS-1? To change the nose, totally agree it should be changed. As for the mount of missiles - they are not installed on the 85th. The maximum that was - it's a common set of standard weapons, and, may be FAB-9000, which was first tested on that plane. Probably it will require a separate slot.
I plan to return to the finalization of the 85th, but a little later, now a bit busy ;).

Hi Everyone! Your attention is invited to the 2nd instance of the Tu-85 (2)

Refined nose.

link

https://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ypx6gix44s17244

To install: Unzip the file and install the file "Tu-4_SASvers etc." in your folder, DBW, UP, SAS, etc.

Nothing has changed in air.ini

Special thanks for the mods used to model:

SAS ~ CirX for the Tu-4
GJE52 for KJ-1
Ranwers - B-26, cockpit B-17 and B-29
Ectoflyer - the idea of transformation, TGA-files, C-54
Uzin - for placing post
And to all those who I have not mentioned in this list.

Regards,
Bison

Skinpack is coming along nicely.

Anyone knows where these intakes on the engines and the bubble under the nose are mapped?
