Do I do this via FMB?

Yes,set date and time in FMB on mission

change mission time of night,and or date to use a full Moon 

Interesting but, how can I guess when its full moon? I assume its a matter of try & error, isn't it?

Yes,trial and error I suppose you can call it
just set date and time in FMB and then check results
Changing the date I would assume would eventually give the full Moon on a map

Maps have the Month set in the load.ini
so just setting the day should change the Moon cycle

There are 27 different Moon textures in the game to show each phase of the Moon cycle
it should be as simple as adjusting the day of the Month to finally find which day for that Month and year that the full Moon comes up

weather if set to anything but clear will make it harder to see the Moon
so maybe set weather to clear until you find which day has the full Moon for that map,and month/year

Only 30 some days in a Month,so it should only take maybe 15 to 20 times checking and adjusting the date to find the full Moon

worst case scenario would be 30 some times to check and find the Full Moon
like anything in IL-2 it will take some time and effort

S! I do not know if that would be any help! I have been playing SH3-GWX for a few years and I have a sort of chart for U-boat-Kapitäne, that I printed a long time ago. Cannot remember who made it, but I will do some research. "Bref" this chart gives you from 1939 to 1945 all the moon phases, and "Rise and Set for the Sun" for location: 000 00, N51 28 Universal Time.

Just might help to find right settings 
 When I find the the download.....I will let all know and if any one is interested.....Will make it available.
