NewBlueFX (Old Film/Newsreel)
« on: March 24, 2013, 06:22:24 AM »

I'm trying to get a nice balance on the "old film" look.

F4U-1A Landing clip.

NewBlueFX: FE Film Effect
Rendered with Vegas Pro 12.

Opinions? Too many "scratch" lines? Too much jitter?
I think the color looks OK, just the right amount of sepia-toning.

Looks good , I like it. Good oldies look to it.
One thing that you might want to remove is that flashing "blinking" type of lighting, or
make it appear only once in awhile,  like every 40 seconds or so.
It would be ok for WW1 films but for WW2 you hardly see them.

I recently seen some IL2 films with PTO B-29 action and they might give you some ideas.

Look at the bottom of my list
B-29 Superfortress - The road to Japan - Part 1 [B&W]
although he also has that blinking kind of light in his films too.
