Useful thread, but "Hanger"(a thing to store clothes on) for "Hangar"(a thing to put aircraft in) is still irritating!
I believe that there is still more appropriate - hanger.

I hope that's just lost in translation.
You don't just wanna tell people not to do Franken Planes anymore, do you?

i get the impression that's exactly what he's saying. lol.
do we honestly have to explain the reasons for this, yet again..... no.
better still, this -
okay, tarakanz, if you are offering to make the models, then by all means, we will replace the franken ones with your shiny new versions... no problem.

what's more likely, is that your answer/reason for not doing so, will also be self-explanatory as to why we have these types in the first place ;)

Well, I understand your feelings Tarakanz, some Franken show that so much effort was involved in making them that one can really ask but why not make a real model instead :o!?
But as Malone said, if people want to make Frankenplanes, his does not mean that another modder is not going to make a real flying model of these same planes after that - on the opposite, I must confess that Franken always give me ideas ;). And if in the meantime some players enjoy these Franken, let them be happy - we are a free creating community  :)

Tarakanz, EVERY modder starts out somewhere. Not all of us can do java or be great 3d artists. And, as some people forget, modders give their time and work for free for people to enjoy as a gift so even though it may not be all your hoping for, its still a gift and people should be greatful for any gifts they get.

That's true... even if they look crappy or whatever they still make a good placeholder and sometimes they can even be categorised as other "normal" planes, like the JJ-6 which was here somewhere. :)
