I've started to fix up the damage from the corrupted actors.static that wiped out several weeks of work in the spring and get this map going again.

Here are some screenies of odds and ends. This is the 2D map with work done and some of my notes on it.

Hi, mandrill,
I know how the map making, and especially populating the maps is sometimes frustrating, kind of hard labour. I wish you perseverance , since "per ardua ad astra" is the only way we shall overcame .
At present, I made texture locations of 100 cities and their surroundings on WIP Poland map, still more than 80 remains to do, then - autopopping trial . Nevertheless, I believe the Il2 community appreciate the mapmakers effort well.

Have got 18 parts of old Skadovsk city map fotos, 1947 year. In russian, as usual. Don't know how to work with Fotoshop, sorry
And Kherson city map 1944, my own hands drawing from city's archive original shceme. Many history fotos  Skadovsk & Kherson buildings too.
 R U still works with Central Ukraine map? O.K.,waiting your grait job goes to end

Hi Toobone.

I appreciate your interest and would love to look at your stuff for both South Ukraine and Central Ukraine in a few weeks. Right now I am putting in roads and villages and this will take me into December. At that point - or January, if I take some time off - I would be interested in suggestions for airfields and campaigns.

Thanks for the compliments. This is actually..... Poltava, with a MiG-21 flying east with the Vorskla River wetlands in the background.

This is the town of Karlovka on the Orchik River. Ignore the trees that somehow got left in the river. They will be logged when I go back into the FMB!
