Really?

LOL

If you haven't noticed it uses cockpit from B-24 by Ranwers and B-24 is much sorter then Tu-95.

Maybe sometime later I'll fix it, but not anytime soon. If someone wants to do this or anything else on this mod I don't mind and will be even glad :)

Thanks !
Tried it in 4.10.1 and ModAct 3.06 , but I have no cockpit view , and in external view the engines do not want to start...
Do I have to install also KJ-1 in order to have the cockpit working ?

Working great in my DBW with a rather large amount of other planes and mods, loving it!

Got a question now, is there a manual or something like it for the KS1 missiles?

I was trying to build a "Red Storm" type mission, a bunch of tupolevs taking out CINCLANT's carrier task forces (or not, depending on the defense) but I am having trouble at
a) making the AI shoot doublettes, as in launching both missiles in quick succession on a single or 2 different targets,
b) making the AI shoot multiple missiles (from different planes) at one target at the same time, and
c) actually defending. I don't think the missiles have a hitbox or something the like, I flew straight through one without any bother. Can't lock them up with my AIM-7 either. I guess you can't (atm) do that BOB-style intentional-collision-V1-kill thing there.

In my test mission I had a carrier, a battleship, a destroyer and the Niobe form a "task force". It takes about 3-4 missiles to take out a battleship or a carrier, and one or two for destroyers and frigates (which occasionally vaporize small 30ft boats  :P ) so I wanted to set up an 8 plane, 16 missile volley for starters. I found that, as long as there are missiles in the air, an AI-launched missile on the same target, even with a set target at the ground attack waypoint, will just cruise by the targets at launching altitude (which happened to be 15k ft - didn't look very dangerous up there).
I find this very weird, is that intentional?
Also, what is the max. range of the missile - I think I lauched at about 100-120 km, sounds reasonable to me, but if the carrier has interceptors, more is better :D

Finally, not missile-related, do the turrets work? I couldn't access them but that doesn't mean anything iirc, and they didn't shoot at me (though I might have been out of range - hard to guess with such a big plane when getting a A2A missile kill).

This is especially fun for being an F-4 pilot closing in on an Alaskan airspace Tu-95... If only the AI players could wave their hands at the F-4!  :D

Thanx for the media fire link, as the send file only got me all sorts of dnload manager and ohter crap that takes over my computer.

Now the next dumb questions, has anybody thought about making the files for a static version of these? (I know, we always ask for more, like a bunch of chicks that can't be satisfied).

Would be nice to do the six day war and catch Tu-16s on the ground.

Either way, these are some nice work, thanx for all the time you guys put into this. They will do well for the AI especially methinks. Woo.  :P
