Unfinished Me-262 training film, 1945.
« on: April 07, 2013, 03:48:19 AM »

I found this pretty interesting; a training film for the 262 that was never completed and is therefore missing audio. There's some nice graphics showing off how the jet system works and some footage of how different cockpit systems operated. Not practical to watch the whole thing, but skip through it and you get a sense that even in the throes of defeat the Third Reich could still produce some quality material for its pilots.

I have seen this one before, its very cool.
What amazes me the most is that they found the necessary time to film this and made those
cartoons in such a state of war and caos in the last year of the WW2. Its an amazing piece
of history recorded for all time. We are very lucky to see this. Many films were destroyed and
we may never have a chance to see the other projects and aircraft films they made during
those war years.

Every now and then a few very rare photos show up on E-bay and show us things that were
hidden in private collections that we thought were lost forever. Amazing things I have seen.
I will post for you some of those photos in a little while.
