With Lonestar67's permission I will soon upload a retextured version of his great Coral Sea 1942 map.Any input and advice welcome.

Sweet!  I am in the midst of Carrier Operations updated for HSFX (testing/dev) and following Marcus Island, its onward to Coral Sea featuring this map!

Looks very nice. :) You asked for input so here is mine.... in the first pic you can see that your forest far texture has a light grean color. To me it looks not a s real as it could. Try this one...

Place it in whatever tex folder your using and change the load.ini entry for Wood2    =  whatever folder your using/whc_forestfar_JP_fields.tga

The entire mountain height in the map is a bit too high!
But what really still bothers me are the mountains east of Deboyne (pic7)! I'll see if I can put it down a bit. . .
Textures are great, better than the original, Gumpy! :)

Darkened up the original Tga file  I think it looks a bit better Bombsaway what do you think?

Those are some really, really jagged land formations...  Side effect of how large you have to make the scale of the map?

I think this map has a slight scaling problem where the land is scaled down, but there is no corresponding scale down of the terrain height. It would be a relatively big pain in the ass to try to fix this without redoing the whole map.
