These are some screenshots of the new F-9 wheels and P-80, but I did them until Max published the new textures, I'll see if I might make another version with the textures of Max.

Nice wheels Jeronimo! Do you perhaps have any plans for further 3d updates of these planes? Thunderjets and Migs look amazing after your work!

I said it before, Jero took IL-2 into the new decade single handedly as for wheels, cowlings etc.  :P :)
Many thanks Jero.

What should be enabled first, this mod or the cowling prop fix? Thanks.

In my game I have the Cowlings-fix folder first and then the Wheels-fix below it in another folder.
But it really does not matter which comes first.
They both have the needed files inside but do not mix them or place them all into one folder,
because later,
 you may want to make changes to them (or a particular airplane) and
you will not know which files to touch. That is what I do.

Sorry for the delay, lately my real life has complicated enough. :(

I also want to thank all those who have answered questions in this thread in my absence, thank you.

New update, F-9 & P-80

Enjoy. ;)

Question for all...

Has anyone found a nice set of round wheels to replace the wheels on the original U2-VS "mule" biplane from WW2 ?
It is that classic airplane used by the Russian "Night-witches" in night attacks against the enemy.

I have already tried (with success) using the better wheels from a DeHavilland biplane-trainer, but they look
a little small in size. They fit very well, but still look a little small.
I have already tried using the Luftwaffe Storch wheels and the Avia-B534 wheels, but they look too small.
Has anyone found a better set of wheels we could use from this package?

If this is possible, there will be 4 more versions of the U2-VS which will be using these new wheels. Those Mod-aircraft
were already released way back in 2010 by CirX  ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A SOLUTION has been Discovered  :)
Make a new folder named... (inside the same folder where ALL the better wheels mod are located in)
U-2VS
and then go to your folder of the MIG-3 better wheels files - copy the files that are inside and put them into the U-2VS folder.
Now you got the perfect sized wheels and soviet style wheel-rims.
The color will be sky-blue, but you can always color the
wheels rims to another color if you wish.
You will find these in the TEXTURES skin-files named Cobertes_Rodes2 and Disc1
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do the same for the other 3 U-2VS mod-versions ...
U-2UT
U-2NB
from here --- https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,1096.0.html
Just place the same MiG-3 wheel files inside those new name folders  ;)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THANK YOU to PA_Jeronimo for the nice 3d-wheels.
Now they also fit into the classic U-2 airplane.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? It's as if all the hub/tire textures are getting combined together for some reason
I've noticed it on the B5N, P-40B/C, and B-17 family so far. With those couple of exceptions, the other planes in the game don't have any problems running jero's excellent wheel mod.
I've tried loading the mod in front of all my others, and tried re-downloading/installing, still no joy. I'm running SAS MA 4 on 4.11
Thanks!
