« on: May 05, 2013, 12:58:13 AM »

Hello guys,

I would like to propose counterpart for famous Il-2 Shturmovik but from Sukhoi Su-6.

In some publications there are notes that this aircraft was never entered mass production because of problems with engine, some say that changing production from Il-2 to Su-6 would cost too much effort during the War, others say that Sergei Ilyushin was favored by Stalin while Pavel Sukhoi wasn't...
Regardless of causes this aircraft was superior that Il-2 in many aspects.

And what is important for modders this aircraft was based on it's predecessor Su-2.  ;)

This one really is forgotten... I have heard of the Su-2 but never this one.  :)
