I've been trying for a couple of days to add this plane into a UP3 modded game, either through the #UP# folder or creating a path through the JSGME folder.  70% CTD as soon as I add the required text to the air.ini file.  Hopefully the next version of UP3 will have this plane included.  Maybe the problem is that I need to install SAS Buttons for 4.10?

This weekend I finally mastered the skill of adding planes, so the BR.20 is working in DBW 1.71.  Thanks for this wonderful aircraft!  I might not yet have the installation 100% correct, but the Cicogna is flyable, looks great, and I managed to land it without crashing.  :)

Is there a fix for the skin on the nose area becoming distorted when the aircraft suffers battle damage? Distortion = looks like a collage of different skin elements (wings, national markings).

Great planes, however with 4.12.1 and Modact 5.20....the rear gunners don't shoot? i will do more testing, maybe some night testing so i can see the muzzle flashes. Also....when it says the default guns instead of a loadout of bombs....i can't fire those while on a mission.

Ps-- i installed all the updates.

I want to praise DreamK about this plane....possibly not the one for flying in a mission, but opens up a lot new missions/campaigns. It was so tiresome to have SM79 all the time as well as various hacks. I changed it in a few missions and it appeared to be a very useful plane for the Italians. I consider it a good design that compares well with the british (and heavier) Whitley and Wellington. Much like the He 111 for the Germans. I hope it will be featured more in future campaings/missions.

And it served in Asia too, which opens even more possibilities !

A question from someone who doesn't know about these things: how come the original aircraft by DreamK has such a large footprint Kb-wise? Some 200MB. Just curious.

the original mod, loaded on Mediafire is 36MB (see link in first post) not 200MB....
Zip_comic, correct me if I am wrong - I have the feeling that part (if not most) of the turret tracking problem comes from the fact that these planes include prior turrets animations (pop-up turret and such) and the game engine does not manage this very well? am I right?
I have also the feeling that this turret tracking problem is specific to Italian planes - is it so?

yes, it's what I thought. thanks. It also explains why only the Italian bombers are affected - only them have turrets with this kind of change in their horizontal or vertical orientation. The popping of the turret by itself is apparently not a problem, as it works fine with the Il2 core B25 and with the French planes (Potez 54 and Bloch 210), but the change in initial angles are.
