The last German biplane had sad fate. The RLM ordered its construction in 1937 as navy fighter for planned carrier Graf Zeppelin. But works on this ship but continued very slowly. Its completion within two years turned out to be as unrealistic. That is why the RLM ordered to stop work on the project Ar 197. One interesting at the end. The aircraft had the opportunity to shoot off landing gear for easier landing on the water.
