Favourite Game cinematics and Trailers
« on: May 20, 2013, 11:16:29 AM »

What are your favourite cinematics and trailers from you games? It can be anything from the start up screen of Il-2 pacific fighters (with the plans taking off) to The parody trailers in Battlefield bad company.

My favourite ones are from a game i had before IL-2, World in Conflict. The trailers especially the ones with clips from the news definately made them feel really realistic and when the game came out (2006-2007) they also were really stunning  8)

So what are yours?

(i didn't which topic to put this in lounge or this, so change if you want  ;))

Wings, on the Amiga 500, was the sh!t when I was 11 years old. The first 1:20 of the intro was kick-ass for its day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEHwr_WiiE4

Ahhh the memories  ;)

Anyhow, I play Star Wars: The Old Republic and the cinematics look great. In order they are:

IMHO this is one of the best, if not the best, ever:

Halo 3: ODST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rxUOdpAliE

Personally, it should be made into a film. The music too, is fantastic.

If my pc still worked i'd still be playing European Air War! I never knew there were mods for it until I already switched to IL-2!!

Hi Kaxii, sorry for the late reply.
I've been a subscriber since day one so I have no personal experience with F2P, however from what I gather BioWare/EA have been too excessive in locking out features available to subscribers (a lot of those can be individually unlocked with one-off payments for f2p); and it would seem that they've been too heavy handed and greedy at trying to get players to pay or subscribe, a charge-for-everything-and-see-what-sticks approach I guess  ???
Which is a pity because the full game is great. I was a long time WoW player but, apart from one week last year when MoP was released, I have totally ditched WoW for SWTOR.
I'd suggest giving F2P a go, it is free after all!
