Kill-able Paratroopers

Would it be at all possible to make the paratroopers in the cargo planes kill-able? Like say you have 28x paratroopers in a C-47 and a Bf-109 strafes you and kills about 6 or seven so you only drop 20 troopers? It could be set up on a random variable for how many are killed or if any are killed, I just thought it would be pretty cool and immersive to have something like that.

Yeah, that would be great. However, I'm not sure how one would make a mod like that, but since paratroopers count as ordnance in-game, that would be included if anyone makes a mod that allows bombs to explode while still in the bomb bay when you get damaged badly enough.

Moved, and is alll the ordinance stuff hardcoded into the game? because the bomb idea you had Dataman was a great one too  8)

the best suggestion ever. i am not sure if it would be possible, but it is a really good idea. it would also make Kamikaze practical in the game, since bombs would do damage when still attached.

It's already possible, but very uncommon, to ignite droptanks in-game. Perhaps we could take that vulnerability and copy it for bombs and other ordnance?

That could maybe work, and then have the armament set on one variable and the troopers on a separate variable? like say bombs=45 so theres a 45% chance of a bomb exploding in-bay, and then troops=75% s theres a 75% chance some troopers would be killed and so on

Unrealistic, but that would be fun.

wait, au contraire, it would be more realistic, no ? I meant when you drop it and it hit the ground, it would explode like a bomb with a damage value of 0 and instead of using the model/mesh for the crater it would use a droptank model

but really, if bombs/paratroopers/droptanks could explode/die on impact or when shot, it would greatly improve realism.
