Cluster munitions and napalm added to the P-47's arsenal.

4.12 introduced cluster munitions for the P-51.  It would be great if we could get them added to the P-47.






Also... Several planes already have Napalm in their loadouts.... It would be a great addition to the P-47's ground attack role.



There are more pics of P-47's with napalm... But they look just like fuel tanks so it was pretty pointless.



I hope to see these two munitions added to the P-47's arsenal.  The P-47 was a great dog fighter... But really shined in the air to ground attack role.  It would be awesome to see its loadouts as varied as the real thing!

A little snippet from Wikipedia on P-47's and napalm:

During 1944 the 318th was equipped with Republic P-47D Thunderbolts and during the Marianas campaign, working closely with Marine ground forces, pioneered close infantry support and employed the first use of napalm

The P-47 had several loadouts with the cluster munitions and napalm....

Right now I just want to convert the P-51's cluster munition loadout to the P-47.

Once I learn how to do that I'd like to make a napalm loadout from the Corsair and put it on the P-47.

Is there any tutorials on how to do that?!  I've searched and couldn't find anything very helpful... Mostly FMB stuff.  Would this be java stuff?

Okay... I found a tutorial.... Now I'll slowly progress and try to add these to the loadout list... Wish me luck!

Yeah I see what you mean...  I'm going to try my best at getting this done.... But I've never done a mod before.  If someone can whip this out quickly than by all means do so... I'm not claiming any territory here or promising results.... I just found a tutorial and I'm going to try to follow it as best I can.

You think I should just delete this thread and then if I can't figure it out I can request it later?

It's up to you guys as to what we should do with this thread.... But I wouldn't consider it a WIP that's for sure!  I don't have that much faith in myself in modding regards!

i'll leave it as is for now, then, and we'll see how things go.
doing it yourself will require java work, just so that you know.
most java stuff is not openly available, so you'd have to do some legwork on your own in that regard....
