...Less stress,better gameplay.
Wrong ! With my UP2, no stress and outstanding gameplay ! More than 1,000 aircraft flyable ... and things that do not exist in other packages...

I just got the time to test version 1.01 and got the plane working successfully apart the known AI take off bug!

Noticed that instruments have the needles of the gauges with night luminescence.

I'm also , and above all , wondering why it haven't flaps?

What I noticed when the plane is driven by AI is that it reach a very high take off speed (About 165 kmph) with elevators full up but the plane centerline is pointing toward water , then after the main float is broken the plane (if don't damage propeller on the water) assume the correct rotation angle and take off....

My tought about is that main float generate too much water resistance and the lack of flaps make take off speed too high!

I think that some change in it's FM can solve this issue!

Thanks for this great scout!

Lack of flaps was merely an error on my part - I didn't realise the original aircraft had them; a fair few biplanes can be found without them, after all.

I have to admit, at this point in time, i'm not intending to provide any further support for this aircraft. I lost heart after the (initial) reception it got.

I apologize if you have thought so!!!

I was only pointing you towards some things that can made it handle better!

Your work about is really great and this plane is unvaluable in many pacific scenarios!!!

Please keep up your great work on it!!!

Yeah. Come on Matt. :)  Dont take things to heart too much. I really love this plane. I would love to see you improve on it. :)

Do you know that there are many times I have released a new shallows texture, thats what I started out making in my begining, and I think most of my work has been prety good but I would only get maybe one or two comments muchless a thank you sometimes. It still happens with the maps I work on. I get some guys thanking me and commenting but not on all my work. I try not to take offence, it can be hard but really I know that there are a lot of guys who download it. I just think its cool that something I made is on someone's computer in another country. Too me thats part of the fun.

Don't worry, I didn't! I'm not giving up modding, i'm just not intending any further work on this particular plane.

I step in gingerly here as I don't want to cause any offence to a modder, and I have enjoyed flying this a/c without a problem.

But, and there's always a but, in the 3do folder you've named the cockpit Ki-43, and thats what it does, it completely replaces the original Ki-43 cockpit. Different gun-sight and instrument panel, but worst of all from the cockpit view there's no canopy.

I notice you have mentioned you are not intending to do any further work on this a/c.  Not a problem, as I can't fly both at the same time.

BTW, I'm using DBW.

Cheers - Redfox

P.S. Why did you name the cockpit folder Ki-43?

Redfox, you can take a look at this: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,36851.0.html
In this 4.09 conversion, Epervier solved this problem giving a separate folder for F1M cockpit. Maybe with latest DiffFM this version will work in your installation.
