Just the thing for a 1939 campaign then, or a 1944 campaign. For WWI Red Star v White Eagle air starts would be the order of the day.

cheers

The summer version is for 1939 campaign, while 1944 would require a winter one, with concentration camps and jewish ghettoes added, together with concrete airfields built by Germans, I think.

Uzin, will you be adding concentration camps and Ghettos to the map?
I know it may seem a bit "inappropriate" for such a "game" for some people, but I believe it will add more realism to the game also.
It is also a way for the young people not to forget what happened in those places.

This record is the single. I think it is unavailable now, because it is from the 1989...

You can find a special 2-CDs edition, with the 2 albums together.

Here for example :

http://www.cede.ch/fr/music/?branch_sub=1&view=detail&id=680036&branch=1

The original cover of the 2nd album :

The heavy's was a Swiss cover band, playing Hard-Rock songs. These 2 CDs are kinfs of mega-mixes.

If you like Krokus, you will like The Heavy's... same peoples, more or less...

It is a giant leap from concentration camps to hard rock but a small step in the IL2 world.  ???  :-X

Hi, Max,
the present state map is for 1939 campaign , while the winter version could be for 1944, when the main battles occured in the area.
If I survive and shall create that version the concentration camps and ghettos would be there for sure, as they are significant landsmarks   of the map of that era. There could be e.g.. Majdanek KL near Lublin, but not Asuchwitz, since the map is cut a bit north of it, I think.

Sorry friends, the conversation got a little off track about that music post thing.
Lets get back on track.

Thank you Uzin for your kind reply.
I am enthusiastic about this 1939 version of the great map.
I have read many stories of aerial dogfights when Poland was invaded. Very dramatic scenes from both sides. It would be great to
experience the same events. Reliving the same aerial combats in the IL2+mods is almost the same thing as being there and
reliving history.
Thanks Uzin!

I will leave you with some fascinating stories of brave Polish pilots from WW2...

The 1939 map would be a fitting testimony to those Polish Aircrew. The last Polish Pilot who'd flown a Spitfire during WW2 didn't retire from the RAF until the early 80's!

I'd be happy if the map was solely centred on the period 1920-1941. Plenty going on in that time frame in the region

Yes, I agree. Plain airfields that can be populated by mission builders would be fine too.

cheers
