Uzin - your frames show better terrain of Poland from '39. There was more air battles.
Yes, for example near Krakow we could make missions about cptn. Medwecki and lt. Gnys from 121 fighter squadron (first Polish aerial loss and then victory).

Medwecki was the first allied pilot killed in WWII (a victor was Uffz. Frank Neubert - I/StG2 "Immelmann"), and  Gnys has reached probably first allied aerial victory few minutes later (2 Do-17s - KG 77) near Olkusz.

As someone pointed out already, the area shown by Maro in his first post is excellent for late-war (1945) eastern front air battles, and as such is very needed.
For the 1939 scenarios, the Warsaw-Krakow-Lvov area is better suited.

You're right guys. Have been reading a bit and air combats for 1939 will suit better on southern part. Shame we don't have it.

Hi, folks,
I am now finishing Belarus_1916 map, will be released within a week or so, meantime collecting the data on south Poland .It is my favourite area, intended to start with map making in September this year. I hope my posts were not too preliminary, as you know that map making is the run at long distance, lol.
Best regards,
Ivan

EDIT:
As far as I know, there was also so-called Ostravian operation on the south Poland and Silesia border, in 1945, where Czech pilots fought under leadership of Frank Fajtl.
